Award-Winning Standards in Coffee
Coffee has come a very long way in the last few years. More people are discovering specialty coffee and some of the ‘true’ characteristics of coffee that are often hidden by over-roasting or heavily industrialized production.
AWC is dedicated to bringing specialty coffee, and all of its benefits, to more people than ever before. Every coffee we send to our customers is an example of the finest that the world of coffee has to offer.
For a coffee to be considered "specialty," it must score 80 points or higher on the Specialty Coffee Associations 100 point scale. At AWC, we take quality very seriously. That's why we exclusively source coffees that far surpass the Specialty Coffee Association’s threshold for specialty coffee. In fact, we’re the only coffee subscription to go one step further and only work with coffee roasters that continually meet this threshold and have been awarded in a major US coffee competition.
Major coffee awards like Golden Bean, Good Food Awards, or US Coffee Roasting Championships are opportunities for coffee producers and roasters to showcase their artistry and be judged at the highest level against their peers. Each year a small number are recognized by these organizations. It’s from this group that AWC sources all of its coffees from.
Unlike some other coffee subscriptions, we’re not confined to a single roaster or partner. We work with a select group of exemplary coffee businesses, all of whom have been awarded by one of the major coffee awards in the US.
That means we can bring you the best of the best, single-origin releases, freshly roasted less than 24 hours before being sent to you, without being tied to other contracts or agreements.
In fact, we’ve built our entire business model to singularly focus on quality, which is why we think we’re the best coffee club there is.
